Tibetan bowl sound therapy & deep relaxation for mind and body
Sound
Sound bath
A sound bath is a type of group sound therapy, a collective journey into deep relaxation, vibrational alignment and inner healing. Through the resonance of Tibetan bowls, gong, chimes and guided breathwork, your mind and body can reconnect to a natural state of calm and harmony.
What does a sound bath look like?
The energy of the group
In sound bath, the energy of the group is a vital part of the therapy. That’s why we begin by gently connecting with each other. We’ll sit in a circle, and each participant will be invited to introduce themselves. This small act of sharing transforms us from strangers into a warm, supportive community for the time we’re together.
Breath as the bridge to relaxation
Just like in individual sound massage, we’ll start with breath. Breath is life, it nourishes every cell, shapes our energy and directly influences our health. Yet many of us breathe shallowly, missing out on its incredible calming and energising effects. Together we’ll practise deep, mindful breathing, helping to release tension and open vast reserves of inner peace.
We’ll also look into each other’s eyes while we breathe, allowing genuine human connection to bloom. It may feel a little awkward at first, but this quickly softens, replaced by a gentle sense of trust.
The first sounds
You’ll then lie comfortably on your back with your feet gently oriented toward the sound source. Around you, Tibetan bowls and a gong will be carefully arranged. Crystals will rest among them, quietly amplifying and guiding the energy.
As part of our holistic approach, we’ll also engage your sense of smell, using only pure, natural essential oils or incense (never synthetics, which can harm rather than heal).
I’ll ask everyone to close their eyes. Then you’ll hear the first tones of the Tibetan bowls, allowed to fade completely into silence, because in sound therapy, silence is just as important as sound. You may also hear my voice from time to time, gently guiding the flow of your thoughts.
Deep relaxation & the vibration of life
Because I’m always joined by a second therapist during these group sessions, you’ll have the unique opportunity to feel the vibrations of the Tibetan bowls directly on your body.
As my colleague plays sequences designed to relax, balance and awaken your self-healing processes, I will place a bowl on each participant’s chest, activating it so the vibrations spread in all directions. Many describe it as feeling waves of life moving gently through them.
Vibrational alignment with health
To complete your journey, we’ll bring in a 528 Hz tuning fork, tingsha bells and delicate chimes, each sound chosen to guide your energy back into natural harmony.
I’ll slowly call you back to wakefulness. Take your time. Allow yourself to meet this new version of you: calm, open, vibrationally aligned with health. Notice how you feel, how you rest inside your own body. And quietly remind yourself how deeply you love yourself.
Why Tibetan bowl sound therapy?
Science is now catching up to what ancient cultures have long known: sound touches us profoundly, body and soul. Research on Tibetan singing bowls indicates they may ease stress hormones, calm the heart, lower blood pressure, and restore emotional harmony, gently guiding your whole system back toward health.
